Applications are being accepted for an 8-hour per day Secretary position for the Special Education Department. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and office skills.  Candidates will be working with students, staff, and parents.  The candidate must possess excellent computer skills and be able to learn various software systems.   The desired candidate must possess basic secretarial skills such as typing, filing tasks, record maintenance, office machine operations, telephone skills, and more advanced skills pertaining to interaction with others.  Additionally, the candidate must work with student records/IEPS, record keeping, and other duties as assigned.  The desired candidate should be capable of fulfilling his/her responsibilities with minimum supervision.  Required qualifications are that the applicants not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment.  This position is subject to a veterans preference.  Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from  7:30 a.m. to 4:30  p.m.
