Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Special Education Life Skills Paraprofessional position at School.  Duties include working with students in small groups and individually under the direction of the teacher.  Candidate must be able to lift, give physical assistance when necessary; assist in lunchroom responsibilities, toileting, transportation, and in recreational activities.  The state of Nebraska requires applicants to have 2 years of college completed or being willing to take a ParaEducator online class (paid for by the District).  Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment.  This position is subject to a veterans preference.  Duty hours are typically  Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  If this position is of interest to you, but the hours don't quite work with your schedule, please apply and feel free to discuss the idea of flexible hours if you are selected for an interview.
